Transition plan for upgrading to ISO 22000:2018 Standard (Under NABCB Accreditation) , to address the following:

a) Training and verification of competence of auditors and other staff.
MS Cert has already started arranging training for its personnel and it is expected to be completed by 31st March 2019 for all concerned personnel.

b) The CB 's arrangements for communicating with its clients.
MS Cert has started communicating to the client ,related policy is also uploaded in the website www.mscertification.org .target to complete communication by 31st March 2019

c) Timelines for transition of existing clients to ISO 22000:2018 as well as for existing applicants and the cut-off date beyond which the CB will not accept applications as per the old standard.


Existing Certified Clients:

MS Cert has planned to start transition of existing clients to ISO 22000:2018 as well as for existing applicants on ISO 22000:2018 from 1st April 2019.(Such client 's can be offered unaccredited certificate after successful completion of all processes which can be offered accredited onace MS Cert receives its accreditation on the new standard without any additional audit.

Existing Client need to apply through submission of filled application /information form for quotation (F03) along with the copy of their existing certificate of old version.

MS Cert will undertake all audits including surveillance or recertification as per ISO 22000:2018 only from 19th June,2020, if the client not applied for transition at their own before 19th June ,2020.However, any non compliance with the new requirements will be treated as Non Compliance without impacting the certification status of the client.

the cut-off date beyond which MScert will not accept applications as per the old standard is 19th June,2020.

d) The CB 's arrangements for auditing conformity to the new standard (for example, will it be a single visit or a staged approach.

For the certified company as per ISO 22000:2005,transition audit as per new standard will be planned during their ongoing surveillance or recertification schedules or through separate transition audit in single stage .

Existing client can appear for transition during their ongoing surveillance or recertification schedules. However MS Cert will conduct additional audit of 1 to 2 manday extra to its normal surveillance or recertification mandays.For Client offered with initial audit upto 10 mandays will be considered for additional 1 Manday and Client offered with initial audit more than 10 mandays will be considered for additional 2 Mandays for auditing transition requirements.

If any client appears in transition audit other than its scheduled surveillance or recertification then the transition audit man-day will be considered as per its normal surveillance audit man days. MS Cert will undertake all audits including surveillance or recertification as per ISO 22000:2018 only from 19th June,2020, if the client not applied for transition at their own before 19th June ,2020. However, any non compliance with the new requirements will be treated as Non Compliance without impacting the certification status of the client.

e) How the CB will ensure clients 'ongoing conformity to ISO 22000:2005 through the transition process.

Existing client can appear for transition during their ongoing surveillance or recertification schedules. However MS Cert will conduct additional audit of 1 to 2 manday extra to its normal surveillance or recertification mandays.For Client offered with initial audit upto 10 mandays will be considered for additional 1 Manday and Client offered with initial audit more than 10 mandays will be considered for additional 2 Mandays for auditing transition requirements.

MS Cert will undertake all audits including surveillance or recertification as per ISO 22000:2018 only from 19th June,2020, if the client not applied for transition at their own before 19th June ,2020. However, any non compliance with the new requirements will be treated as Non Compliance without impacting the certification status of the client.

The validity of the certificates granted to organizations as per ISO 22000:2005 is upto 18th June 2021 only which may be increased to make the certificate valid for a full three years after ascertaining the conformity to ISO 22000:2018.

f) How the CB plans to use the results of any evaluation activities conducted during the DIS or latest draft stage document before the ISO 22000:2018 was published, if any.

Not applicable since we have not done any such assessment in past.

g) Action to be taken in respect of clients that have failed to complete the transition by three years after the publication of ISO 22000:2018. For example, the level of audit necessary for certification to be restored

MS Cert will undertake all audits including surveillance or recertification as per ISO 22000:2018 only from 19th June,2020, if the client not applied for transition at their own before 19th June ,2020. However, any non compliance with the new requirements will be treated as Non Compliance without impacting the certification status of the client.

The nonconformities pending on 19th June , 2021 may affect the certification status of the organization depending upon the severity and may lead to cancellation of the certification granted.

The certificates of organizations who fail to complete the transition by 18th June , 2021 will be treated as invalid (related certification information will also be removed from MS Cert Website) however the certificate may be reinstated after ensuring the compliance with ISO 22000:2018.

Clients who fails to apply or meet the transition requirement within the stipulated time as mentioned above need to apply as fresh client as per ISO 22000:2018.

The certification to ISO 22000:2018 will be made only after MS Cert ensure that the outstanding findings/ non conformities have been addressed and reviewed satisfactory.

Accordingly, all certificates issued under ISO 22000:2005 will not be valid after 18th June 2021. The expiry date of certification to ISO 22000:2005 issued during the transition period shall be the end of the transition period i.e Jnue 19, 2021.
